My Story
I started my clothing brand two years and hit the ground running...LITERALLY. 99.9999% of my sales were generated through in-person events (festivals, pop ups etc) all along the east coast. There were times when my brand was vending at four events in one day. Needless to say this required me to hire a team, rent vans, buy other equipment, and keep a slew of inventory with no certainty it would sell at the next event. Not to mention the thousands of dollars I spent on vendor fees each month not knowing if the events would be a hit or miss. A few were hits but many of them were misses 😭.
I knew I needed to ramp up online sales ASAP and interviewed a handful of marketing agencies. All of them wanted thousands of dollars each month in marketing fees with no guarantee I would get a sale from their efforts. I couldn't afford to take that gamble on someone else and instead decided to invest in myself. I made a promise to myself..to not book any events the following year. I was taking a huge risk and potentially forfeiting revenue and the livelihood of my business but it was time for a change. I knew there was a smarter way to scale my business!
Your girl went to work. Spending hours on learning the skill of digital marketing, specifically Facebook and Instagram ads. Starting from scratch with a small social media following and a non existence email list, I knew I could make it happen.
January 1, I ran my first ad and a few hours later... I heard a magical sound. It was the "cha-ching" from a sale notification. I got a sale my first day running ads!!! 30 days later and I had generated $4K from running ads and brought in $1K the last two days of the month alone.
Fast forward only a few months later and I am generating $90,000 a month in sales— and we are just getting started.
